The North
Central Soybean Research Program (NCSRP) and the Iowa Soybean Association are
pleased to announce the upcoming release of Crop CheckTM, an Internet
based, crop production and financial analysis program. Crop Check will be released December 1, 2001 to all soybean
and corn growers in the 12 NCSRP states.
What is Crop
Check?
Crop Check is a new
software package developed by the Iowa Soybean Association and the University of
Minnesota’s Center for Farm Financial Management (CFFM) and funded with
checkoff dollars from the NCSRP. It
combines the production analysis capabilities of ISA’s former Producer
Profitability program and CFFM’s widely used FINPACK financial analysis
program.
Crop Check offers producers
the ability to determine their average, or field specific cost of production to
determine the productivity of each farm in their operation.
It also enables them to compare yield of their most preferred hybrids to
other producers who are also using the program.
Crop Check
also offers:
Because
Crop Check is a user-group database, some peer-oriented analysis may not be
possible right away. These delays
are possible because the program must first accumulate enough grower data to
tabulate and return accurate results.
