Postemergence Guidelines
Labeled For Use in Field Corn, 2Production Seed Corn, and Corn Grown for Silage.
New Mode of Action:   Callistemone Herbicide Family Mesotrione, the active ingredient in 1Callisto™, is absorbed by leaves, roots, and shoots and translocated through the xylem and phloem.  Mesotrione inhibits the HPPD enzyme found in chlorophyll, blocking carotenoid synthesis, and leading to chlorosis and necrosis in susceptible plants.
Product / Formulation: Callisto 4SC (soluble concentrate) contains 4 Lbs active ingredient (mesotrione) per gallon of product.                                                        Callisto 4SC is a "Non- Restricted Use Product". Approved by the EPA as a "Reduced Risk Pesticide".

Surfactants/Additives: Crop Oil Concentrate  (1 gal./100 gal. Mix) +  28% UAN (2.5 gal./100 gal. Mix) or  AMS (8.5 Lbs./100 gal. Mix)                                              
Application Window: Callisto™:  Up to 30 inch or 8-leaf stage corn                                                                                                             Callisto™ + AAtrex®:  Up to 12 inch corn

Application Guidelines: Ground Spray Equipment:  Apply at 10-30 GPA using 80o to 110o flat fan nozzles with 35-40 PSI at the nozzle tip. Provide proper agitation to keep product dispersed and ensure that all in-line strainer and nozzle screens are 50 mesh or coarser.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Aerial Spray Equipment:  Apply a minimum of 5 GPA.  See label for specific instructions.
Other Application Restrictions: Do not use Methylated Seed Oil (MSO) or MSO blend adjuvants.                                                                                                                  Do not cultivate corn within 7 days before or after a Callisto application.                                                                                                         Do not apply through any type of irrigation system.                                                                                                                                       Do not apply with suspension fertilizers as the carrier (not compatible).                                                                                                           Do not apply Callisto postemergence in a tankmix with emulsifiable concentrate (EC) grass herbicides or injury may occur.          
Insecticide Restrictions: Do not apply Callisto postemergence to corn treated with Counter® or Lorsban™ soil insecticide.                                                                    Do not make foliar postemergence applications of Callisto in a tankmix with any organophosphate or carbamate insecticide.                                                                                                                                                                                    Do not make foliar postemergence application of any organophosphate or carbamate insecticide within 7 days before or after a Callisto application or severe corn injury may occur.                                                                                                                                                            Callisto may be applied with Warrior® or other pyrethroid insecticides labeled for corn.
Minimum/Maximum Use: Do not apply more than a total of 10.7 fl. oz. of Callisto per acre per season. Do not exceed 7.7 fl. oz. Preemergence and 6.0 fl. oz. Postemergence.  Do not make more than 2 applications of Callisto per season.  Do not exceed 3 fl.oz./A in a single postemerge application.  Do not apply a second application within 14 days of the first application.  Do not apply less than 3 fl. oz./A Postemergence.
Rotational Crops: Field Corn: may replant immediately.                                                                                                                                     Small Grains:  120 days following Callisto application.                                                                                                                 All other crops: may be planted the Spring following Callisto application.
Personal Protective Equipment: Long Sleeved Shirt & Long Pants, Shoes + Socks, Chemical Resistant Gloves - category A (e.g. barrier laminate, butyl rubber, nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, natural rubber, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride (pvc) or viton).

Shipping & Storage Requirements: Shipping:  Not DOT regulated.  Freight Classification:  Herbicides, NOI (item 50320)CL60.                                                                               Do not load in same vehicle with foodstuffs or animal feeds.                                                                                                                                         Storage:  Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Do not store near seed, fertilizers, or foodstuffs.                                                           Can be stored at temperatures as low as minus 20o F.
NOTES:  1Callisto™:  Rainfast in 1 hour. Do not apply to popcorn, sweet corn, or ornamental (Indian) corn.  
2Production Seed Corn:  Refer to seed company recommendations for use on inbred lines.  
3 Liberty® and Liberty ATZ®:  Use tankmixes with Liberty only on seed designated as LibertyLink® or warranted by Aventis CropScience as being tolerant to Liberty herbicide.
4 Tankmix Partners:  Refer to individual product labels for precautionary statements, restrictions, rates, approved uses, weeds or pests controlled, and follow the most restrictive labels.
